It’s Networking Time again!

The San Diego Chapter of the Elite SDVOB Network would like to invite you to our next meeting on Tuesday morning, June 6, 2017.  We meet at the Veterans Museum on 2115 Park Blvd., across from Balboa Park.  Meeting time is from 9AM – 10:30 AM.

Our mission statement is Helping Other “Vets” Help Themselves.  We assist Service Disabled Veterans with networking and opening doors to new business with government and corporate America.  Come and join us and see what’s new and what is on-going for service-disabled veterans so far in 2017.

Have you ever wondered how you will manage to fill out the paperwork for the lucrative State and Federal Contracts?  Who is going to be your Pathfinder through the maze of government paperwork?  Our June speaker will be Rachel Fischer, Director of the San Diego Contracting Opportunities Center (SDCOC).  SDCOC is also known as a Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) and is an economic development program of Southwestern College.  SDCOC’s mission is to assist San Diego county small businesses with the information, resources, and technical assistance they need to effectively compete for and perform on federal, state, and local government contracts. This assistance is provided at no cost to the small business owner. Since program inception, SDCOC has assisted San Diego based small businesses in winning over $1 billion in government contracts.

Come to the meeting and learn how they can help you navigate the maze and land these government contracts.

The Board of Directors has decided that due to the fact that the first Tuesday of July is the Fourth, that the July meeting will be canceled, but we will have our regularly scheduled meeting on August 1st.

San Diego Unified School District will hold its annual Construction Expo, San Diego’s preeminent construction-focused procurement event for contractors, architects, engineers, and construction-related vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers. This year’s Expo will be held on July 19th from 9am-1pm at Kearny High School’s Stanley Foster School of Engineering, Innovation, and Design (formerly Construction Tech Academy).

Come to the meeting and introduce yourself and your company.  There may be another company there that would like to partner with you on one of these contracts.  This is what networking is all about!

The Elite SDVOB Network is a 501(c)(19) nonprofit organization.  Our sponsors include utilities, financial, pharmaceutical, insurance, federal, state, and local government organizations, as well as many from the private sector.

Our Sponsors

The San Diego Chapter would like to extend a specialthank you to San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) for their sponsorship of our Monthly Chapter Meeting space at the Veterans Museum. Additionally, we’d like to thank all of our sponsors for their continued support of the Elite and the San Diego Chapter. Without their contributions and dedicated support, we would not be able to help so many San Diego Veterans.
